[Partner] National Arts Month: National Artists of the Philippines

February of every year is National Arts Month (NAM) in the Philippines. For the whole month of February, the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco will feature exceptional Filipinos who have earned the title of National Artist (Pambansang Alagad ng Sining). The Order of National Artist is the highest recognition given by the Philippine government to Filipinos who have made significant contributions to visual arts, music, dance, theater, literature, film, broadcast arts, fashion design, and architecture. The Order is conferred by the President of the Philippines upon the recommendation of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
