First there was the Silk Trade, then the Galleon Trade, now comes the Ube Trade. In this food performance event by artist O.M.France Viana, SJICA museum visitors are invited to exchange a food memory for a taste of ube, a mythic purple yam ubiquitous in Filipino desserts.  Barter a story for a buffet of Magnolia ube ice creams, ube cookies, ube breads, ube haleya jams, ube candies, ube puto, ube polvoron, ube barquillos, ube mamon and more.
