Fil-Oz Liverpool wowed the audience at the Children's Festival of Sydney 2018
/The Children's Festival of Sydney was held on the 8th April 2018 at First Fleet Park, the Rocks, next to Circular Quay Railway Station from 10.30 a.m.- 4.30 p.m.
It was attended by the Hon. Ray Williams, M.P. and other Ministers and Special Guests. Cora Bojarski, the President of Fil-Oz Liverpool and Districts Inc. was also invited as one of the guest leaders from the many different community organizations who participated on the day.
This year's motto was "Play Together and Live in Harmony”. The festival is unique in its inception and vision and this year it is celebrating its 20th year. This is one of the most significant Multicultural events in Australia, especially held in Sydney NSW.
This event supported by Mulicultural NSW helps to bring children together from all the different cultural diverse backgrounds and provides them with a platform to showcase their unique and special talents and help celebrate those diverse cultural differences.
Our talented youths from Fil-Oz Liverpool and Districts, Inc. in conjunction with APCO Inc. participated in the parade and also sang at the event. Our 4 youths performed so beautifully that everyone not only enjoyed their performances but was wowed by their presence being so talented for their age and voices like an angel singing.
Sharlene Gamo and Catherine Tiatco both sang a Phillipine duet called “Sumayaw Sumunod” while Stacey Bustamante and Cheska Gonzales both sang English songs, again the audience also enjoyed their talented voices. Sharlene Gamo and Catherine Tiatco have already performed at the Children's Festival of Sydney 2017 held at Bankstown, this is their return performance.
On the day there also was face painting, arts and crafts, a mini - playground, a baby animal farm, and drawing competitions with all day entertainment.
It was well attended with family and friends and another successful event that was indeed an event that rated high on being a great family fun day out for all.
