Before your flight:

Passengers MUST bring their own face mask, whether surgical, ear loop, or do-it-yourself masks as well as other protective shieldings (surgical masks only for flights to/from Xiamen, Honolulu, Macau, and Singapore. Infants 2 years old and below are exempted). Failure to bring a face mask will result in the denial of boarding

All passengers are encouraged to bring their own sanitizer (hand sanitizers up to 70% alcohol, up to 10 pcs. at 100 ml as part of hand carry) and onboard travel essentials.

Personal carry-on items (laptop or small bag PLUS and overcoat/wrap/blanket, reasonable amount of reading material/s, small camera or binoculars, infant case, infant food, and sealed Duty-free bag) must be limited to 2kgs. For PWDs, the previously mentioned items will be in addition to the assistive devices that may be carried for free. 5kgs from all passenger carry-on bag allowance will be transferred to the check-in allocation.

Online check-in is highly encouraged and all passengers are urged to arrive early to allow ample time for security checks. (4 hours prior for international flights and 3 hours prior for domestic flights).

Point of Booking: All ticket offices will implement proper social distancing and thermal scanning. Service personnel will also be provided with transparent barriers and face masks while a “no-mask, no-entry” policy will be implemented.

At the Airport: While waiting, social distancing will be implemented as best as possible for passengers waiting, in queue, or in PAL buses. Thermal scanning at entry points, locator form distribution, available sanitizers, and security checks will also be implemented. Both passengers and employees will be required to wear face masks.

Mabuhay Lounge: All PAL Mabuhay Lounges will implement sanitizing mats, seal packaged meals, hand sanitizers, and an on-demand beverage service. Lounge staff will be required to wear masks.Inside the Aircraft:Rigorous cabin cleaning and disinfection will be implemented on PAL’s entire aircraft fleet.

During the Flight: In-flight Service: In-flight crew will be in full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to simplified in-flight services.  Meals: The Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures will continue to be followed even while preparing in-flight meals. All mid-flight snacks will be sealed for Australia, the Middle East, and Long Haul flights.

Seating: For flexibility, passengers will have Social Distancing cabin seating options.

Note: Above information is based on the Philippine Airlines' Keeping You Safe Always campaign.

With all these new implementations, flying will definitely be a safer and more secure experience for both the passengers and locals. This will ensure that Covid-19’s spread will be limited even when traveling in a time like this.
