International COVID-19 Conference: Lessons Learned

What:  One year ago, the world was only beginning to learn about COVID-19 and its impact on public health, data and research, patients, and providers, and the most vulnerable among us. Now, one year later, we ask experts to tell us: What lessons have we learned from COVID-19? 

This multi-disciplinary event will bring together public health officials, researchers, and physicians, including Dean of the Stanford University School of Medicine Lloyd MinorSanta Clara County Health Officer Sara Cody and many more to share lessons learned from COVID-19 on Public Health, Data and Research, Clinical Care, Health Disparities, Vaccines and Mental Health. Together, we endeavor to increase knowledge, empower education, and positively impact our response to this pandemic. In funding innovative research, educating promising scholars, and community outreach, we seek to improve healthcare both locally and globally. 

Who:  Over 25 public health officials, researchers, and physicians from all over the  World, including India, China, Japan, the UK, Rwanda and Peru.

This conference is a one-year follow-up to our 2020 COVID Conference, which drew over 50 speakers and 2,500 audience members from 37 countries. We were honored to receive global praise for this event and published our conference findings in the American Journal of Public Health (please see attached paper).
