The restaurant owner's name is Jomelyn Angel Sanchez, born in Omingan, Pangasinan, raised in Sampaloc, a graduate of Philippine Maritime Institute. Her work history: security at the Ninoy Aquino International Aiport in Manila, security supervisor at Princess Cruise Lines, and security at Four Seasons Hotel.
Her spouse is Elizabeth Revero Diaz, a Mexican.
The restaurant is officially opening in September. So far, Jomelyn has cooked for Filipino crew from the cruise lines that dock a couple of blocks away. In the meantime, the restaurant is a beer joint in the evenings for a primarily Mexican clientele.
Jomelyn opened the place for my group of three Filipinos and cooked seafood as ordered. She learned how to cook at her aunt's restaurant in Manila.
This place is highly recommended when one hankers for Filipino food in Puerto Vallarta- cooked to order and served by a very engaging Filipina!
