Three institutions from the Philippines made it to the latest global ranking of universities based on subjects. The 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) world university rankings by subject included the University of the Philippines (UP), De La Salle University (DLSU) and Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) (See Philstar.com for story).

UP Beats Harvard, Oxford, Stanford in World Health Research Citations

The University of the Philippines (UP) beat other premiere universities — including Harvard University, University of Oxford, and the University of Stanford — in the recent world rankings for health research citation, placing seventh with a score of 98.8 in the 2019 Times Higher Education (THE) World Rankings. Citation scores indicate the number of times a research has been cited in other research outputs, or the impact or influence of a research project which other researchers use as reference from which they can build on succeeding breakthroughs or innovations (See Inquirer.net for story).

Ateneo, UP and De La Salle Among World's Best English-Teaching Schools

Ateneo University, the University of the Philippines and De La Salle University ranked 24th, 32nd and 44th, respectively, among the top 50 universities in the world in teaching English, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. The ranking was done by a London-based survey firm, Quacquarelli. More in Inquirer.net.
