In the aftermath of the decision of Facebook to take down fake accounts and pages sharing fake news and inciting hate and misbehavior that were associated with the police and the military, PNP chief General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan said all of these accounts are now being monitored to ensure that the administrators comply with the police guidelines on the use of the social media (See Manila Bulletin for story).
