Team iNON of the Philippines bested 1,395 other teams around the world in the Best Galactic Impact category with ISDApp to win the 2018 NASA Space Apps Challenge, reports Inquirer.net.

An application made by a team of Filipino innovators was nominated as a global finalist at the Galactic Impact in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Space Apps Challenge, the biggest hackathon in the world (Rappler).

Filipino citizen Apollo Arquiza, a postdoctoral research associate who is a graduate of the UP Los Baños, is part of a team at Cornell University now building a space galley to enable cooking in outer space, reports Interaksyon.com
