Award-winning actress Dolly De Leon has joined the cast of Amazon action-comedy film “Grand Death Lotto.” De Leon, who recently received best supporting actress nominations at the Golden Globes and BAFTAs for her role in “Triangle of Sadness,” is set to join a star-studded cast that includes Simu Liu, Awkwafina and John Cena (See NextShark.com for story).

Filipino actress Dolly de Leon, who won Best Supporting Performance award in the 2022 Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards for her widely praised performance in the Palme d’Or-winning “Triangle of Sadness,” has nabbed a Golden Globe nomination for best supporting actress in the 80th Golden Globe Awards, which will be held on January 10, 2023 in Beverly Hills, California (See ABS-CBN for story).

Danish film Triangle of Sadness by Ruben Ostend won the coveted Palme d’or for its satirical take on privilege and greed. The film stars Filipino actress and FAMAS winner Dolly de Leon in the scene-stealing role of Abigail, a Filipino toilet manager on a luxury cruise ship in the film. Meanwhile, the Japanese-French-Filipino production Plan 75 received a Special Mention under the Camera d’Or, which awards new directors (See Esquiremag.ph for story).
