A 10-year-old girl from this city, Aliya Nora Adre, a fifth grader at the Immaculate Conception School in Ormoc City,won a gold medal in a triathlon competition held in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. last Sunday, November 20 (See INQUIRER.net for story).
