"That Thing Called Tadhana" is the highest grossing Star Cinema production, penned as the most successful independent film release breaching more than P120 million in under three weeks. Prior to its commercial release in 2015, it was an entry to the 2014 Cinema One Originals Film Festival where it earned top honors. Director Antoinette Jadaone  has been named one of the most influential women in the industry and was described by media as someone who will change the face of Philippine cinema. The film stars Angelica Panganiban and JM De Guzman.
