Vice Consul Leizel Caasi works at the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu as the Head of the Cultural Diplomacy, Dual Citizenship, Notarials, and Gender and Development sections. Prior to joining the Consulate, she was assigned at the Office of Protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila. Biodiversity, climate change and technology are among her areas of interests. She enjoys scuba diving and exploring other outdoor activities around the Islands
Victor Gregor Limon is the Secretary-General of Hawaii Filipinos for Truth, Justice, & Democracy (HFTJD), a community organization advocating for greater engagement with social issues involving Filipinos back home and around the world. After receiving a BS in
Geography at UP Diliman, he finished his master’s degree in urban planning at UH Manoa, where he was the founding chair of the local chapter of Anakbayan Hawai’i. He currently works as the data analyst of the City & County of Honolulu’s Office of Climate Change, Sustainability, and Resiliency.
Dwight de Leon is a multimedia reporter who covers President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the Malacañang, and the Commission on Elections for Rappler. Previously, he wrote stories on the legislative branch and local government units. Before his stint with Rappler, Dwight was a program producer and writer for various shows of the ABS-CBN News Channel, such as Top Story, ANC Headlines, Balitang America, and The World Tonight. In college, he oversaw student programs for DZUP 1602. In 2017, he finished his broadcast communication degree, graduating magna cum laude, at the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
Moderator:
Divina Telan Robillard, our moderator, is currently Vice President of the ALS Foundation of Hawai’i. She has been a nurse-educator since graduation from college in 1976 and taught at the Kapiolani Community College for seven years until resigning to be her husband’s fulltime primary caregiver for 31 years. She also volunteers for the UP Alumni Association where she served as President in 2010-12. She is a member of the Philippine Nurses Association-Hawai’i and the Filipino Association of University Women. A freelance writer/blogger, she is a dual citizen.
