NYU Sulo and the King Juan Carlos Center will hold a rare screening of Lav Diaz's Batang West Side / West Side Avenue
Sulo presents Batang West Side as the final part of its Visions/Panawin Film Series for Spring 2023. The epic film by internationally acclaimed director Lav Diaz (whose diverse menagerie includes the Berlin Silver Bear, Locarno Golden Leopard, and Venice Golden Lion) was filmed primarily in New Jersey and features an extensive cast of Filipino and Filipino American actors.
Date: Saturday, April 22, 2 - 8pm
Venue: NYU King Juan Carlos Center, 53 Washington Square South (entrance is just to the right of the church steeple on the south side of Washington Square)
