Free Multicultural Fete for Seniors Week

The Auburn Small Community Organisation Inc (ASCON) is collaborating with the Alliance of Philippine Community other Auburn Small Community Organisation Network Inc and other organisational members to pay respect to all senior citizens with a free food, entertainment and group activities especially designed for the elderly at the Auburn Centre for the Community, 44a Macquarie Rd., Auburn (next to Auburn Park) NSW 2144, Australia. this Saturday, April 7, 2018.

This event, called Grow Young Seniors Multicultural Exchange is funded by the NSW State government.

The gathering will start at 10 am and culminates at 4 pm. Invited to grace the occasion are state and local government officials, Consular representatives and community leaders from the different cultural community groups.

According to Dr. Cen Amores, ASCON President, “this festival will bring together isolated seniors from diverse cultural backgrounds in the newly formed Cumberland LGA. It aims to promote inclusion, celebrate unity in diversity, focus on the unique health and wellbeing needs and reciprocal support services available to seniors in the area”.
