Filipinos in France can renew passports at VFS Global in Marseille
/Filipinos living in France can now renew their passports at the VFS Global Passport Renewal Centre in Marseille. Since its opening in 2021, the Marseille visa application centre has saved time and money for many Philippine citizens who, in the past, had to travel to Paris to renew their passports.
The Marseille centre accepts electronic passport renewal applications for both adults and minors. New passport applications will continue to be processed at the Philippine Embassy in Paris.
According to recent stats, there are about 50,000 Filipinos living in France. A large proportion of this group has filled shortages of nurses, nannies and caregivers.
Every year, an estimated 10 per cent of Philippines passport holders in France have to renew their passports.
This visa centre has reduced crowding at Consulates/Embassy and has provided greater convenience for the applicants submitting their application with VFS Global. To make the process as simple as possible and to give applicants peace of mind, VFS Global also provides a tracking facility with SMS service and a dedicated email and helpline for applicant queries. Furthermore, Filipino citizens with dual citizenship can now conveniently schedule their appointments by sending an SMS to 07651 74295.
