Filipino American History Month Celebration 2023 in San Francisco

Dear Community,

I am writing to inform you of an important update regarding the 19th Annual Filipino American History Month Celebration, originally scheduled at San Francisco City Hall's Rotunda on Thursday, October 5.

We find it necessary to postpone the event due to unforeseen circumstances. The decision to reschedule is out of respect for the memorial services and the celebration of life that will take place at City Hall on Thursday, October 5 for U.S. Senator and former San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein.

We recognize Senator Feinstein's significant impacts on shaping the history of our beloved city and her unwavering support for the Filipino community. In joining the nation to honor her legacy, it is appropriate to adjust our plans to allow for the proper remembrance and tribute.

The new date for the 19th Annual Filipino American History Month Celebration is now set for Thursday, October 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We hope you will be able to join us on this rescheduled date as we come together to celebrate our shared heritage and the contributions of the Filipino community to the rich tapestry of San Francisco.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility during these challenging times. Please mark your calendar with the new date, and we look forward to your continued support as we honor Senator Dianne Feinstein and celebrate the vibrant history of Filipino Americans.

Thank you for being an integral part of our community, and we can't wait to gather with you on October 26 for a memorable evening.

Respectfully,

The Filipino American History Month Celebration Host Committee
Al Perez, Committee Chair
