Call for Nominees for the 2024 Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas

The Consulate informs the Filipino Communites under its jurisdiction that the Philippine Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) has opened the nominations for the 2024 Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas (PAFIOO).

Awarded by no less than the President of the Philippines, the PAFIOO recognizes Filipinos and organizations who contribute to Philippine development initiatives or promote the cause and interests of overseas Filipino communities, as well as those who have exceptionally distinguished themselves in their work or profession and have brought pride to the Filipino nation. A distinct category is also reserved for foreign individuals and organizations for their exceptional contribution to the Philippines and for advancing the cause of overseas Filipino communities.

All nominations shall be coursed through the Philippine embassy or consulate general that has jurisdiction over the place of residence, work or operations of the nominated individual or organization. The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco covers Northern and Central California, Northern Nevada, Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington State, and Wyoming.

Original copies of the duly endorsed nominations and supporting documents must be submitted to the CFO not later than 30 May 2024 (Philippine time)

Interested individuals and organizations may read the attached guidelines and annexes for the 2024 PAFIOO, which were provided by the CFO.
