Bindlestiff Studios July to September Activities
/Named after Filipino rock band of the same name, Sampaguita Rock Camp was born to create a dynamic and loving space to empower Filipino girls and gender expansive youth in music. Join us for our third year of camp at our showcase at the beloved Bindlestiff Studio, Friday, 8/2 from 6-8pm. Doors open at 6 and show begins at 6:30.
We will feature original songs written and performed by 3 bands (including a first ever Bunso band!). Each band forms only 4 days prior to showcasing. We will have an auction, merch and a sari-sari store open to support our teachers, guest Tanghalian performers, camper materials and venue costs. Purchase tickets here and donate if you can. Each level is equally appreciated!
Thank you to every amazing Pinay that has helped support us along the way!

The Bay Area is home to some of the most talented Filipinx artists in the country. Curator Nikki Meñez and Balay Kreative, a home for Filipinx artists, bring together women who rock the mic with their humor and wit — Ouida, Granny Cart Ganstas, Mabuhay Gardens, and comedian PX Floro — for a night of music and comedy showcasing laughter and art as resilience.
Includes a reception featuring art on exhibition at KQED from Balay Kreative artists VeeCaps, ChiChai & Cristine Blanco.
