Butch Dela Vega is a seasoned IT professional with a passion for learning and a diverse background in executive leadership, project management, and technology innovation. After an illustrious 33-year career at AT&T, he retired in 2013 to explore his interests in health and ongoing education. Currently, he is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle as a fitness instructor while expanding his knowledge in cutting-edge technologies like AI, macroeconomics, and the global financial system, with a specific focus on the history of money.
Ian Kitajima is the President of PICHTR (Pacific International Center for High Technology Research). Prior to joining PICTHR, he was the “Tech Sherpa” and Director of Corporate Development at Oceanit for over 21 years developing and commercializing next generation technologies for defense, medical, clean energy, and consumer applications. While at Oceanit he co-founded 3 venture startups, initiated new areas such as nanotechnology and applied AI, and championed the Design Thinking and computer science movements in public education for over a decade.
Karen Singson, Co-Founder & CEO of Kayamo, is a chartered financial analyst with significant experience in investment banking, equity research and investment management, specializing in financials sector. She worked at financial institutions in New York, Boston and Manila. She previously served as Undersecretary and Chief Privatization Officer at the Philippines Finance Ministry. A magna-cum-laude graduate of Brown University with a double major in economics and international relations, she completed her MBA at Harvard.
Brandon Leong is the Business Unit Lead for Round One, the Philippines’ first equity crowdfunding platform. Round One facilitates the onboarding of businesses looking to raise funds, by matching investors and fundraisers. It provides the payment and payout process and ensures on-going investor relations activities that can all be done through its platform. It provides an avenue for the public to own shares of a private company and to foster the business community. Filipinos are guided to innovate and to invest in each other by providing them with the tools, community, and digital ecosystem that enable them to grow.
