Application for the 2023 IMPACT! Filipino American Summer Internship Program

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco invites young Filipino Americans in the U.S. Pacific Northwest and the Rocky Mountains to join the IMPACT! Filipino-American Internship Program for Summer 2023.

The IMPACT! Program is a professional development program by the U.S.-Asia Institute (USAI), which allows Filipino American young adults to experience a first-hand look at the U.S. government and political system in Washington, D.C., engage civically with government leaders and experts, and reflect on the role they, as future leaders, might play in strengthening Philippines-U.S. relations.

The eight-week internship will run from 12 June 2023 to 4 August 2023, with a one-week orientation beginning 4 June 2023. The program includes:

• internship placement at a prominent Washington, D.C. organization

• one-on-one mentorship with a member of the Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO)

• participation in workshops, networking opportunities, and social/cultural activities

• stipend

Supported by the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C., the IMPACT! Program aims to prepare, inspire and empower future Filipino American leaders to contribute to civic transformation both in the Philippines and the U.S. The program is designed to uplift and equip future leaders with the knowledge they will need in furthering their careers.
