[PARTNER] Super Bowl Travel Packages to the Philippines
/In a push to promote Manila, Boracay, Palawan, Cebu, Bohol, and Albay, some cable cars, Muni buses and trains will showcase the “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” ad campaign to coincide with San Francisco’s hosting of Super Bowl 50, America’s biggest sporting event. One million people are expected to travel to the Bay Area to celebrate this annual event.
Air consolidators and tour operators such as Mango Tours, Majestic Vacations, Pacific Air Leisure, and Rajah Tours have come up with a roundtrip package from San Francisco to Manila from $551 inclusive of a three day, two night stay at a hotel. A package to Cebu inclusive of a round-trip ticket and a two-night accommodation in select hotels is also being offered at $950 per person.
In support of the campaign, Philippine Airlines is releasing Super Bowl travel fares for as low as $650 from LA direct to Cebu, $720 from SFO direct to Manila or Cebu. (Rates are exclusive of tax and subject to space and availability. Fare rules apply.)
The ad campaign will be supported by a social media campaign. The Philippine Consulate invites the Community to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat and share your Philippine travel experiences, using #VisitPhilippinesAgain2016 to tag your posts.
The Department of Tourism (DOT) has also partnered with Hana Zen Restaurant, SB 40 Restaurant and Broadway Studios, all strategically located in and around Super Bowl City, where the ad campaign will be highly visible to tourism traffic.
The DOT will have a travel desk at the Philippine Center Lobby, located at 447 Sutter Street near Union Square, to provide additional information and souvenir giveaways such as ponchos, bags and towels to people who will participate in the campaign.
